Task J - Multi-player

David 22.11.2024 14:33:59

Thank you for the multi player. Scores were close, but I was way off track. Sorry I forgot to take screen shots.

Thanks to David for the multiplayer flight. I wanted to make a nice weather for the last mountain flight in the current season, but that wasn't the case. I used a lot of time near the start airport to find a lift bringing me up to cloud base, but I didn't found that lift in the whole flight. Maybe that flight was close to RL conditions.  Thank you. Yes, high is the key.

Peter 16.11.2024 08:46:24

Thanks for testing. 110 km looks a short flight, but it's maybe long enough. Great flight btw, well done. So stay high is the main thing

Brad 16.11.2024 08:24:45

Tried out the multi-player route. There was not much in the beginning and I was headed home only after a short flight. Found a good thermal and decided to try the route. It worked out in the end. The route is doable in the Ka6 if you get a good start and can get away from the start point. The tow plane did not help me much as it took me farther downwind than I wanted.

Here the flight plan suggestion for Thursday. I calculated Brads Cirrus and my Pegase flight with the index of the Ka6 and get ca. 120 km. My suggestion is a 110 km triangle, if it goes better than expected, we can turn later and expand the track

Thanks Brad, for the information. I understand that very good. At the moment, end of the year, I wouldn't be able either to fly 2 hours in the middle of the day. Too much job due to all projects to finish this year. Like every year. But ofcourse, very sad

Brad 12.11.2024 21:43:21

Unfortunate news for my participation in this month's multi-player flight. Someone at work thinks I am needed to participate in a meeting on 21 Nov, in the middle of our flying time! If the scheduled meeting changes, I'll be flying with you, but right now I'm sorry to say it doesn't look like I'll make it. Very sad about that. :-(

Here the announcement in Condor forum

Peter 07.11.2024 17:48:51

Flying together with you, if remote or in multiplayer, are always good days :-D

Brad 07.11.2024 06:19:14

Ha ha, C2 as "vintage", I like that! :-)  ...not quite as vintage as having an Atari console or Pac Man game lying around!  I suspect after some time we'll be using statements like "remember when we used to fly C2, those were the good old days!" :-D

David 06.11.2024 14:28:04

I I think c2 will be around a longer time than C1 was. Many folks are not comfortable with C3 as it is complicated some what. We should have no problem with scheduling tasks in C2 for awhile.

Peter 06.11.2024 07:54:22

Ok, Ka6 flight, very nice. I flew once together with David, but I think we haven't done it with three.

I promised Condor 2 can be used in the Series after Condor 3 is on the market. I expected flying Condor 3 gives a disadvantage, but my first flight task I with Condor 3 was ridiculous easy, conditions were much better than in Condor 2, it was like flying a motor plane. So I have to experiment with weather settings in Condor 3 and maybe I will find out to use different settings in C2 and C3. Until this is more clear it's possible that Condor 2 has disadvantages or advantages. We shouldn't care about that too much, because it will take it's time. But as I promised, I keep Condor 2 running, maybe I take a C2 flight sometimes, because it's then virtual vintage ... :-D

So no pressure to change to C3

Brad 06.11.2024 06:07:53

 I like the Ka6...and Condor 2 for now. ;-)

Peter 06.11.2024 03:16:26

Great! I suggest Ka6. As far not all have Condor 3, we will fly Condor 2

David 06.11.2024 01:17:26

21 Nov is good for me

Peter 05.11.2024 20:15:25

 21. November sounds very good, David, is it ok for you too?

Brad 05.11.2024 19:05:20

I can schedule Thursday, 21 Nov 2024 at 1930 UTC (1230 MST for me) at this point...14 Nov 2024 is a bit "iffy".
