Brad 03.06.2025 00:04:19 I don't mind mid-season rule changes...still having fun!
Task D is finished now. Congratulations to all! Especially to Steven winning the "No ballast" category with a very good margin and Brad winning the "Ballast" category with the smallest margin we ever had in the series. But most important is, that we have had fun, I had.
In the championship I changed the rules and so the results of the first tasks. Because we now only have two categories, in the championship telling the best two categories (now all), but in the first tasks we had 4 categories and the best three telling. Because that isn't fair I reduced the results to the best two categories. Hope you all agree with that.
sorry I missed your flight yesterday , Peter . very fine indeed
Thanks! That's what I like most with the AAT-like rule, you can fly a distance you like, and the disadvantage of the overtime is nearly zero.
I tried to fly as good as I can, am happy with my climb rate after changing the circling style a little bit, but didn't got the distance I needed. After three flights between 171 and 178 points I have to accept that I will not get more out of the DG100 yet, but I will continue this season with that plane, because I like it and have a lot of fun flying it. And I hope for small progress with more training. Will see how the ballast flight will work ...
Thanks guys. For my '20 flight I was again just going for distance, 200km, and let the time be what it was...it turned out OK in the end.
Perfect on timing, Peter, it was a good try without ballast, well done.
Very respectable flight with the Puchacz, Peter, well done!
If '21' is out there looking at these posts, welcome, it's good to have you with us!
I think that is a good idea. Now this month, I will be gone from the 10th to the 17. No flying there as I can't take a laptop on the plane.
We can schedule a multi-player flight later in the month.
With outside work and such, time is limited.
See you soon on line.
Task D is started. I was thinking the whole last month about the series and came to the conclusion, that maybe less is more. So I reorganized the categories. All planes of the former categories Blanik, Cirrus and LS3 are now in the category Vintage. A flight in this category will be listed on the score board in the category "Ballast" or "No ballast" depending on the use of ballast. So all planes are flying now together, only to take ballast or not (fixed and water) decides over the category.
There will be no task for OneDesign in May, only a flat land task for the Vintage category, I hope with good conditions. The example flight plan starts in Malbork on PolandNW or PolandNW3, the name of that village was Marienburg when it was Germany. My grandparents married there (of course not on the airport, but in the village besides) round about 100 years ago. That motivated me to choose that start airport.
Only two flights now needed in a month for a complete participation. I guess that will take some pressure from us.
The servers running task D now.
Good luck to all!
