Try CoJuGe from Marc Till. If I understood right, install/copy the landscape first to the external drive, be sure it's not installed in the default Condor landscapes folder. Start then the program and it will create links so that the landscapes on the external drive can be used. There is a readme file, I only read that, have never used it by myself
